Terms
Effective November 1, 2026. Plain-language terms for Backroad Almanac's email alerts.
Who we are
Backroad Almanac is a business name of Flocuity LLC ("we", "us"). Write to us at support@backroadalmanac.com or 68 Harrison Ave Ste 605 #839657, Boston, MA 02111.
What you buy
- One pack, for one place: any one of the six packs (Home, Land & Garden; Farm & Barn; Hunting; Fishing & Boating; Foraging & Beachcombing; Wildlife & Nature) at $49 a year.
- Everything, $79 a year: all six packs, for two places and two email inboxes.
- Free: our Sunday email and a few free alerts, for anyone who signs up with an email address and ZIP code. No payment, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Prices are in US dollars. Sales tax is added only where the law requires it.
Automatic renewal
Your plan renews automatically every year, on the anniversary of the day you bought it, at the same price, charged to the card on file (the one you paid with, or one you've added since on your account page), until you cancel.
We email you a reminder about 30 days before each renewal, with the date and the amount.
You can cancel online at any time on your account page at backroadalmanac.com/account (the "Manage your plan" link in any of our emails goes there): choose Cancel renewal and confirm. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your alerts continue until the end of the year you already paid for, and we email you to confirm. Until then you can turn renewal back on from the same page. You can also cancel by emailing support@backroadalmanac.com.
30-day money-back guarantee
If you're not happy, ask within 30 days of buying and we'll refund your payment in full, to the card you paid with. A refund ends the plan.
What the alerts are, and what they are not
Our alerts summarize public information, such as the National Weather Service, the US Geological Survey and state agencies, for the places you choose. Those sources can be late, incomplete or wrong, and so can we.
- Our alerts are not official warnings and never mean that anything is safe.
- They are not a substitute for official alerts, emergency services, professional advice or your own judgment. Always follow the instructions of officials.
- Email can be delayed, filtered as spam or not delivered. We can't promise every alert will reach you, or reach you in time.
Using the service
The alerts are for your personal use. Please don't resell them, republish them in bulk, or try to disrupt or copy the service.
Changes
We may change these terms or our prices. We will email paid members before any change that matters to them, and a price change applies only from your next renewal after that notice.
Limits on our responsibility
As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that come from relying on an alert, or from an alert that arrives late or not at all, and our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some states don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
